Wahkiakum Family Practice Clinic has served Cathlamet for many years.  Current providers are Janice McLean, MD and Margie Godfrey, ARNP.  They currently see approximately 7000 patients per year in the outpatient setting.  The providers and the clinic’s staff are committed to quality.

Wahkiakum Family Practice Clinic is the only medical provider in the county.  There is, however, a nursing home.  The nearest hospital is in Longview, WA 30 miles away.  This clinic provides a vital service to the community.  While the providers do not travel the 30 miles to the hospital they do participate as first responders with the local EMS system.

The clinic became a free standing rural health clinic a couple of years ago and is a current member of the RHCAW. 

Cathlamet is a  very charming community of approximately 500 residents with a county population of 3500.  The town is a picturesque historical community nestled along the Columbia River between Longview, WA and the Pacific Coast.  There are stately older homes with great views of the mighty Columbia.
