Odessa Rural Health Clinic is a Provider-based clinic in Eastern Washington and part of Odessa Memorial Healthcare Center, which has a Critical Access Hospital, long-term care, swing-bed, and an assisted living.  RHC certified in 1991.

In this small community of under 1000, we are proud that we are able to offer an array of services that allows a patient to receive the majority of their medical care in their very own community.  Being a Rural Health Clinic has helped to ensure that we will be here for our patients in the future.

Hours and Services:   The Odessa Rural Health Clinic is open Monday – Friday and patients are scheduled from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. You can schedule appointments by dialing (509) 982-2614. Family practice is specialized and the clinic offers services to all persons of all ages. We do not deliver babies, but can take care most other health issues. Referrals to specialists most often go to Moses Lake or Spokane, WA and to the surgeon in Davenport. Patients can be scheduled to see orthopedic, surgical, and dietetic specialists at the Odessa Clinic periodically. The Women's Health Coach from Inland Imaging provides monthly mammography screens and bone density testing, which is also scheduled through the clinic. Twice yearly, lab health screens are offered at the center.  The Odessa Rural Health Clinic has staff who are able to give childhood and adult immunizations and vaccinations.

Providers:   We currently have two physicians and a nurse practitioner providing services at the clinic.

Linda J. Powell, MD ABFP has practiced family medicine here since1992 and is the Medical Director for the Odessa Memorial Healthcare Center.  She is also a faculty member of the University of Washington supervising residents at the Family Practice Residency Program in Spokane monthly.  Doctor Powell has also been a preceptor for the RUOP (Rural Underserved Opportunities Program) for first year medical students from the U of W.  In 2002, Doctor Powell was honored with the WA Rural Health Association's Outstanding Practitioner Awarded in recognition of her service to Odessa.

Dr. Gian Giuliani joined our staff in February of 2003. He had a private practice in Georgia for many years and most recently practiced at Coulee Community Hospital in Grand Coulee, WA.

Complimenting them is our nurse practitioner, Marlene K. Brendell. Marlene was born and raised here in Odessa. She received her BSN and practiced as the Director of Nursing Services for many years. She is currently in her fifth year as an ARNP at the clinic with 20 years of continuous employment at the center.

If you are ever in the area, stop by the Odessa Clinic and Barb Schlimmer, Office Manager will be happy to give you a tour of our facilities.
