Clinic Spotlight

Adventist Health/Medical Group
(formerly Blue Mountain Medical Group)

In an area known for its sweet onions, many wineries and award-winning downtown renovation, Walla Walla is surprisingly also a healthcare provider shortage area.  For the last 25 years, Adventist Health/Medical Group (formerly Blue Mountain Medical Group) has provided consistent medical support to its extended surrounding community.  One of three Rural Health clinics in the area, Adventist Health/Medical Group is home to 14 physicians and six nurse practitioners, including two midwives. Within the walls of the clinic, you can find pediatrics, family practice, OB/GYN, internal medicine and GI providers.

Committed to providing comprehensive and compassionate health care to their patients, the clinic became a Rural Health Clinic in February 2002.  Adventist Health/Medical Group is a provider-based Rural Health Clinic whose parent is Walla Walla General Hospital, one of two hospitals in the city of Walla Walla.  “We have a long history of working to provide excellent healthcare to all members of our community,” says Brian Anderson, Clinic Administrator.  “We anticipate that this union of clinic and hospital will ensure that we can continue to grow and more fully serve our patients.”  Two new internal medicine physicians are scheduled to arrive at the clinic this summer.
